The Bedford Park Police Department’s Truck Enforcement Unit exists to provide safe passage through Bedford Park for all motor vehicle traffic as they share the roads with larger and heavier commercial traffic.
The Truck Enforcement Unit is tasked with the duty of ensuring that all commercial trucks that travel throughout the Village meet and comply with all State and Local laws.
These laws ensure the safety of the vehicle and therefore the safety of the public, and the prevention of unnecessary damage to the roadways.
The Village of Bedford Park utilizes an online-based permitting system via OXCART at www.oxcartpermits.com. Any company wanting to apply for an overweight/oversize permit in Bedford Park will have to use the Oxcart permitting software. Registration is easy and can be completed on the OXCART website under the Trucking login/sign up link.
